Common Problems and Troubleshooting of Heavy-Duty Pan-Tilts● Abnormal pan-tilt self-check with intermittent grinding/clicking noise A. Insufficient output power of the adopted power supply; replace with a qualified power adapter and retest. B. Poor binding of top outgoing cables causes pulling and mechanical jamming; cut off power, reorganize and wrap cables before retesting. C. Mechanical failure resulting from improper installation, excessive payload or severe center-of-gravity offset of the heavy-duty pan-tilt; factory repair is required.
● The pan-tilt completes normal self-check after power-on but cannot be controlled. A. Incorrect wiring sequence for RS485 or RS422; rewire in accordance with cable definitions. B. Incorrect, occupied host COM port configuration or faulty driver of USB-to-COM adapter; inspect item by item. C. Mismatched baud rate, communication protocol or device address against pan-tilt parameters; reconfigure referring to the pan-tilt manual.
● The pan-tilt shows no self-check and no response after power-up. A. Preheating is required under extremely low ambient temperature; certain models feature ambient detection function and require a waiting period of approx. 15~50 seconds. B. Short-circuit occurs at the top outgoing wiring (DC12V/DC24V output short); wrap wire terminals properly before power application. C. Replace the power adapter if it has incorrect AC/DC specification, insufficient rated power or internal failure.
Note: Use of mismatched power adapters or existing wiring short-circuit may cause permanent equipment burnout. |
