What factors determine or affect the repeatability accuracy of heavy-duty pan-tilt?The following factors determine and affect the repeatability accuracy of heavy-duty pan-tilts. A、Gear Transmission Backlash Tiny backlash inherently exists in worm-and-worm-gear and planetary gear assemblies. When the motor reverses rotation, it must first travel through this idle clearance before driving the payload. This constitutes the dominant factor impacting repeatability accuracy. Heavy-duty pan-tilts commonly adopt anti-backlash gears or dual-lead worms to reduce backlash. B、Structural Stiffness of Pan-Tilt Elastic deformation occurs on the pan-tilt bracket and shaft system under payload load, and deformation values vary with movement directions, resulting in positional deviation. Such phenomenon becomes more prominent under heavy-load conditions. C、Motor Drive and Encoder ResolutionThe step angle of the motor drive and encoder resolution determine the theoretically minimum controllable angle. D、Pan-tilt Control Algorithm Gain adjustment and braking mode (emergency stop or soft stop) of the pan-tilt system affect overshoot and final stable position, which shall be optimized via the pan-tilt control algorithm. E、External Factors Such as wind resistance, vibration and temperature variation at the installation site. |
